Evangelos has been an excellent tutor for my daughter in Maths, Further Maths and Physics A-Level. He covers the content so she really knows and understands it, and relates it to interesting areas connected to the syllabus which further her understanding. She finds him really inspiring, and his enthusiasm and in-depth subject knowledge come across vividly in a way that makes her want to understand more. He’s both challenging and really kind at the same time, so she feels free to ask questions and to push herself.

Evangelos immediately established a lovely rapport with my son, with just the right balance of seriousness, fun, calm and authority for a seven-year-old. Remarkably, Hector has not once complained or resisted his tuition and clearly enjoys the whole hour. Evangelos is an excellent teacher who prepared my daughter for her GCSEs in Maths. At the beginning he analysed carefully her weaknesses and worked out a plan to tackle them in a structured and motivational way. He gave her many different problems to make sure she practised and understood them in depth. He always has a positive approach, is very patient and praises a lot. Evangelos is a really great tutor. He has inspired our daughter about maths (his own passion for the subject is evident) whilst also making sure he stretched her and effectively covered curriculum gaps. He builds concepts up from the basics to being very challenging, all using highly tailored examples. He is calm, patient, never dull, and explained all the topics clearly and engagingly, filling in gaps in my 14-year-old son’s knowledge that had opened up during lockdown. During the preparation for my Masters in International Finance and Development, I took lessons with Evangelos to prepare for mandatory arithmetic and financial exams. Having not done maths in over four years, I was pleased how quickly I grasped the subjects again. Explanations were clear and concise, and maths suddenly took a fun, appealing form. Towards the end he set mock exams under real conditions. Thanks to these classes I obtained 90%, well beyond the class average, and was able to proceed with my Masters.

At the start of my first semester at university, Evangelos gave me a few lessons to prepare for my linear algebra exam. We mostly looked at vector subspaces, and I understood the concept in about a week, which was quick given I had not taken anything similar before. His explanations were clear and well paced, and he used helpful tools to ease the task. He also prepared me with timed mock exams under real conditions. Evangelos knows how to adapt to anyone’s level and is extremely professional.
