Tutoring

Subjects & levels, in detail.

Mathematics from first principles to first-year university, Physics from GCSE upward, and focused preparation for competitive entrance exams. Every course is one-to-one and built around a single student.

Mathematics

Every stage: number and reasoning at primary level, the full GCSE and A-Level syllabus (pure, mechanics, statistics), IB and AP, and undergraduate modules including linear algebra, probability and dynamical systems.

Physics

GCSE, iGCSE and A-Level Physics (Edexcel, AQA, Cambridge Pre-U), plus AP Physics 1 & 2. Strong emphasis on mechanics and on the mathematics that underpins the subject.

Level 01

Entrance exams & interviews

7+, 8+, 11+ and 13+ mathematics for independent-school admissions, with interview practice where it’s needed.

Preparation covers the mathematics each exam expects, the timing and technique that competitive papers reward, and the confidence to tackle unfamiliar problems calmly. Past candidates have gained places at schools including Latymer and The Harrodian.

  • Mental arithmetic, worded problems and reasoning
  • Exam timing, working under pressure, checking
  • Non-verbal and spatial problem types
  • Mock papers under real conditions
  • Interview practice for 7+ and 11+

Level 02

GCSE & A-Level

Maths and Physics across the main UK boards: Edexcel, AQA and Cambridge Pre-U.

GCSE / iGCSE
Foundation and Higher tier. Rebuilding shaky foundations, then grade-focused practice on the topics that carry the most marks.
A-Level Maths
Pure mathematics, mechanics and statistics. Exam-board-specific technique and full past-paper coverage.
Further Maths
Complex numbers, matrices, further calculus and the optional applied modules.
A-Level Physics
Whole specification, with particular strength in mechanics, fields and the required practical skills.

Level 03

IB & AP

International curricula taught to the same depth as the UK boards.

  • IB Analysis & Approaches (SL and HL)
  • IB Applications & Interpretation (SL and HL)
  • MYP mathematics, Grades 9–10
  • Internal Assessments and Mathematics Extended Essays
  • AP Precalculus
  • AP Calculus AB and BC
  • AP Statistics
  • AP Physics 1 and 2

Level 04

Undergraduate

First- and second-year mathematics for students who need a specific module to click or a dissertation to get moving.

  • Linear algebra and vector spaces
  • Probability theory and statistical modelling
  • Linear and non-linear ODEs
  • Introduction to dynamical systems
  • Data analysis and data-science modules
  • Thesis and dissertation support

Specialist support

SEN & specific learning differences

Certified experience through the Disability and Dyslexia Centre at Queen Mary and QTS special-school training, supporting students with dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD and mild autism. Lessons lean on clear structure, worked examples, and a pace the student sets.
